Our mission is to help elevate brands & creatives making good the new ordinary

Hey there! It’s Veronica & Tiff, co-founders of The Ordinary Good and we wanted to share a bit of our story with you.

CHAPTER 01: HOW WE STARTED THE ORDINARY GOOD

Our paths first crossed while working at a sustainable fashion startup – Veronica leading creative direction and Tiff overseeing marketing. Together, we had experience wearing all hats at fast-growing businesses as well as bootstrapping an artisan e-comm brand from scratch. So, in 2017 we founded The Ordinary Good with a vision to help elevate more incredible brands make our world better. Over the years, we've assisted brands in scaling everywhere from 6 to 8 figures and collaborated with remarkable teams dedicated to making a positive impact, spanning from social enterprises to pioneers in sustainability.

CHAPTER 02: WHY WE LAUNCHED BRAND DNA

As our journey unfolded, we connected with incredibly talented freelancers and small agencies looking to take their lifestyle businesses to the next level. This led to us coaching fellow creatives in building their brand-building skillsets and expanding their businesses. The result? Our Brand DNA membership was born, where our goal is to pass on all the knowledge, support and resources we wish we had when starting our agency 7+ years ago.

Veronica Ko

Role

I oversee visual brand identity, art direction and manage all creative from graphic design to website buildouts at The Ordinary Good.

Secret Sauce

I’ve filled many hats in past roles. From that, I’ve gained a wealth of skills as a multi-disciplinary designer and am equipped with knowledge to support you in brand building from A to Z. My previous background in apparel design helps integrate the expertise of product design nuances and manufacturing processes into our studio’s projects. I’m really passionate about what I do. As an empath, I put a lot of thought and care into my work (every project deserves an A++ experience!). Though creative is what feels most natural to me, I never sacrifice substance and believe in a happy balance of style vs. function.

  • Background in apparel design and apparel graphic design with vast knowledge in product design & manufacturing

  • Extensive experience in photoshoot art direction and production, as well as top level proficiency in photo retouching

  • Oversee digital marketing creative including email, SMS, ads, website design as well as technical site buildouts with knowledge in HTML/CSS

Tiffany Wong

Role

I oversee all marketing accounts, brand strategy, and messaging direction at The Ordinary Good.

Secret Sauce

I’ve crafted high level integrated marketing plans and managed teams in-house at brands as well as bootstrapped my own brand and run almost every job there was. Working in e-comm marketing for over 10 years, I’ve tried it all, and I know what brand and marketing initiatives have the highest likelihood to really move the needle and help mission-led ecommerce brands to sustainably grow.

Work Highlights

  • Served as fractional marketing director, scaling a premium artisan goods brand from 6 to 8 figures in 3 years

  • Bootstrapped an accessible luxury leather goods brand made in Spain from the ground up – wore every hat

  • Manage all paid media at The Ordinary Good with an avg. Meta ROAS of 2-3.5 and Google ROAS of 4-5

  • Oversee all email & sms marketing, with these channels making up an avg. of 30% of online revenue for clients

Values

  • No BS: I’ve run a small brand and run marketing in-house. Hiring an agency is stressful and it can be hard to know who has your best interests in mind. My goal is to be 100% transparent with clients: helping them to evaluate their options and share my honest opinions on what expectations/KPIs we would be aiming for. No fluff. My goal is to set up healthy, longterm partnerships with clients built on trust and transparency.

  • Do Good: My background is in social entrepreneurship and I’m passionate about supporting brands making our world better. It’s so exciting to be able to work with such incredible brands shifting our culture for good through their businesses.

  • Deliver: There are so many unknowns in scaling an e-commerce brand. Knowing if your agency partner will deliver quality work on time, shouldn’t be one of them. As a small studio with 90% of our work done in-house, I’m happy to say that we get A++ ratings on hitting deadlines and consistently delivering high quality work.
